I discovered CrossFit late 2008/early 2009 and started testing the workouts out on athletes of mine with great success. Setting the workouts to a clock and building some friendly competition was hugely popular and such a differentiator from what was being offered. My first official workout in a class setting was at CrossFit MSP- I don’t remember what the workout was but I remember not being strong enough to put forth enough effort to be gassed. I was so jealous of the people in the class that could do pull ups and knew I’d be back!

I CrossFit because… it’s a new challenge everyday that empowers me both mentally and physically.

I coach because… it makes my day to see athletes reach their personal best and achieve total transformation.
